For many years I would treasure hunt and go past an unusual restaurant. It was on Route 7 and past the college going west. The restaurant has a large parking lot with a sign "Dairy Deli Thai Food." Certainly an unusual combination. We chanced it, and we were sitting at a table. The menu did have basic American food, an excellent list of Thai foods.we settled for simple American. The food was fresh , tasty, and delicious. The test of the Thai food shall be another day. The owner was terrific but didn't understand the combination of Dairy and Thai Food is unusual. The interior was wonderful 1960's design and very well maintained. This wonderful find is a great place to lunch and dine.
Open Sunday: 11:00-7:30 Monday-Saturday 11:00-8:00 Excellent food! A little quirky in appearance but don't be deterred! The owner is very kind.
I've been going to this restaurant since I was a child. I remember always getting the pot stickers and chocolate milk- best dinner ever as a 7 year old. The owners are sweethearts. I was so interested in the statues they have around the restaurant (praying women with pointy hats on) I would kneel on the ground next to them and feel the jewels they were covered in. I'm 19 and still go to get the delicious Thai iced coffee and butterfly shrimp.. another weird combination. The owner remembers me and asks if I want to sit by her statues
I'm giving this place 5 stars for the experience. This restaurant is totally unlike anything I've ever been to before. As the other reviewer's state, it is very "Americanized". The menu is mostly non-Thai food items. I ordered a tofu and vegetable dish. It was pretty basic, but not bad. Just tofu and veggies in a light sauce with white rice. However, my meal came with a salad and a roll. I've never had Thai food with a salad and roll before. This place does seem a little under-utilized. When I arrived there were 2 other diners, and when they left I was the only customer. The server was extremely attentive and polite. The restaurant itself is very large, and clean. I could imagine it would be good for large groups and kids. Dinner cost $13, which i think is a little more than it's worth, but you get a salad and roll with your dinner.
A hidden treasure in Cobleskill. Gourmet dining experience! Don't let the outside, or the empty parking lot turn you away. Great food at great prices. Always fresh. My favorite are the garlic shrimp appetizer,, the seafood combo and their steaks are steakhouse quality and cooked to perfection.
